Doing Photography

Colleagues at the Durham Centre for Advanced Photography Studies (DCAPS) are organizing a two-day workshop at Durham University, UK on the theme of “Doing Photography.” Taking place from January 9-11, 2013, the workshop seeks to bring together a range of participants from different backgrounds—photographers, archivists, picture editors, NGO activists, academics, etc.—who are committed to exploring questions not so much of whether photographs work, rather of how they do the work they do. For more information about the conference, or to submit a proposal by June 30, 2012, visit
